DefiLlama said lifetime protocol fees reached $5.72 billion, while Santiment tracked sustained address and whale activity after UNI briefly jumped nearly 19%.
Uniswap generated $99.06 million in fees over the past 30 days, according to DefiLlama, trailing only stablecoin issuers Tether and Circle, which together earned $676 million in the same period. The total pushed Uniswap's lifetime protocol fees to $5.72 billion and reinforced its position as the largest decentralized exchange in crypto. Fresh attention has centered on Uniswap v4's live fee switch, which directs part of protocol fees toward buying and burning UNI, tightening the link between platform usage and the token. UNI rose nearly 19% from about $3.83 to $4.54 between July 29 and July 31 before easing back near $4.09, while Santiment data indicated elevated address and whale activity persisted after the rally. Earlier reporting also showed Binance UNI outflows at a five-year high, suggesting continued large-holder accumulation even as the token remained far below its 2021 peak.
