The companies said the tie-up enables insured crypto-to-cash settlement for property purchases and follows a $4.2 million residential transaction completed using digital assets.
CryptEscrow said it has partnered with First American Title to support compliant crypto-backed real estate transactions through a crypto-to-cash settlement process. The companies described the arrangement as the first approval by a major title insurance underwriter for this type of transaction flow, giving title agents and customers access to fully insured closings that convert digital assets into U.S. dollars for residential and commercial purchases. The announcement follows a $4.2 million residential home purchase that First American recently facilitated with CryptEscrow. CryptEscrow said the model is designed to fit into existing title and escrow procedures with minimal disruption, addressing a market where 67 million Americans are estimated to own crypto and where 12.7% of Gen Z and Millennial homebuyers reported selling crypto to help fund a down payment. The release also cited a 35% year-over-year increase in crypto-wealth-enabled home purchases.
