Manufacturing led the fifth straight annual contraction, while mining and quarrying stayed in growth and monthly output fell 2.3% after a revised 0.3% decline in May.
Estonia's industrial production fell 4.6% year on year in June 2026, extending its downturn to a fifth consecutive month and marking the sharpest decline since March 2024. The contraction deepened from a 3.0% fall in May, driven mainly by a steeper drop in manufacturing, which declined 5.3% after falling 3.5% a month earlier. Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply also remained under pressure, down 12.6%, though that was less severe than May's 22.9% drop. Within manufacturing, the biggest declines came from repair and installation of machinery and equipment, computers, electronic and optical products, furniture, other transport equipment, and fish processing. Mining and quarrying was the main positive exception, rising 26.7%, although that growth slowed from 39.9% in May. On a month-to-month basis, industrial output fell 2.3% after a revised 0.3% decline in May, pointing to continued weakness in the sector.
