ESMA expanded its Markets in Crypto-Assets, or MiCA, register on July 31, adding 12 crypto-asset service providers and bringing the total number of authorized CASPs to 321. The update, ESMA's fourth since the July 1 transitional deadline, included three German cooperative banks, two companies in Spain and four in France. ESMA also added three entities flagged by Italy's Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa, or CONSOB, to its non-compliant register, lifting that list to 167 entries. Other MiCA registers were unchanged: authorized e-money token issuers remained at 41, and no asset-referenced token issuers were listed.
