SEC filing shows redemptions cut holdings to 55.04 million XRP by June 30, with the trust recording $34.16 million in realized losses and $17.47 million in unrealized losses as XRP fell more than 40%.
Grayscale’s XRP Trust sold $180.78 million worth of XRP in the first six months of 2026 as investor redemptions sharply reduced the fund’s holdings, according to an SEC Form 10-Q filing. The trust’s XRP position fell from 122.23 million tokens at the end of 2025 to 55.04 million by June 30 after large sales to meet redemptions. Grayscale reported a $34.16 million realized loss on XRP sold for share redemptions and a $17.47 million unrealized loss on its remaining XRP investment during a period in which XRP’s price fell by more than 40%. The filing also showed the trust created an additional 36.27 million XRP valued at $66.58 million, but those inflows were outweighed by redemptions, leaving net assets down from $223.36 million to $57.41 million.
