The solar manufacturer made the list for a fourth straight year as Fortune raised the revenue cutoff to US$33.2 billion and global clean energy competition intensified.
TONGWEI said it ranked No. 464 on the 2026 Fortune Global 500, marking its fourth consecutive year on the list and underscoring its scale in the global renewable energy market. The company described the ranking as recognition of its manufacturing strength, resilience and growth as economic uncertainty and industrial change continue to reshape global markets. Fortune said the companies on this year's list generated about US$43.1 trillion in combined revenue, more than one-third of global GDP, while the minimum revenue needed to qualify rose 3% year on year to US$33.2 billion from US$32.2 billion. Only 122 companies from China made the ranking, placing the country second behind the United States. TONGWEI said its business is built on a vertically integrated photovoltaic ecosystem spanning high-purity polysilicon, solar cells and PV modules (solar power components), supported by intelligent manufacturing, quality controls and ongoing research spending. It also highlighted its TNC 3.0 module series, which it said can deliver up to 770W of power and up to 24.8% efficiency, and its TNC 3.0 BIFIMAX product, which TÜV Rheinland certified at up to 93.07% bifaciality (ability to generate from both sides), a feature aimed at utility-scale solar projects.
