The rollout adds HBAR custody, staking, token issuance, node infrastructure and smart contract deployment across Taurus’ institutional platform used by more than 40 banks, including Deutsche Bank, CACEIS and State Street.
Taurus has completed an 18-month integration of Hedera, enabling banks and regulated financial institutions to access custody, staking, token issuance, node infrastructure and smart contract deployment through a single provider as of Aug. 5. The rollout spans Taurus-PROTECT, Taurus-EXPLORER and Taurus-CAPITAL, allowing institutions to custody and stake HBAR, issue assets through the Hedera Token Service and deploy Solidity-based applications through Hedera’s EVM-compatible Smart Contract Service. More than 40 banks and regulated institutions use Taurus technology, including Deutsche Bank, CACEIS and State Street. Taurus and The Hashgraph Association said the combined setup could reduce the need for separate integrations as institutions expand from HBAR custody into staking, tokenization or programmable products, though no figures were published on time, cost or compliance savings. The companies cited tokenized bonds, funds and stablecoins as possible use cases, but they did not announce a specific issuance, customer launch or transaction volume or identify a bank already running a live Hedera product through the completed integration. Taurus joined The Hashgraph Association’s Global Membership Program in July 2026 after the two groups announced their strategic partnership in January 2025. The next test will be whether Taurus clients launch named live Hedera products that show the integration is moving from technical readiness to actual institutional adoption.
