Luxembourg's annual inflation rate was 2.2% in July 2026, unchanged from June, as faster price increases in several categories balanced slower growth elsewhere. Food and non-alcoholic beverages held at 1.3% and education remained at 6.2%, while inflation accelerated for alcoholic beverages and tobacco, clothing and footwear, health, information and communication, insurance and financial services, and restaurants and hotels. That more than offset easing price growth in housing and utilities, household goods and maintenance, transportation, recreation and culture, and miscellaneous goods and services. On a month-on-month basis, consumer prices fell 0.5% in July after a 0.1% rise in the previous month, indicating a softer short-term price trend despite steady annual inflation.
