The meme coin's market capitalization is roughly $10 billion as whale buying and rising active addresses point to renewed network activity despite continued price weakness below $0.07.
Dogecoin's official X account used the record-breaking debut of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" to joke that the film would need about 11 more opening weekends of the same size to catch up with the token's roughly $10 billion market capitalization. The movie opened to $927 million worldwide, ranking as the second-biggest global debut in history behind "Avengers: Endgame," and took in $360 million domestically to break Endgame's previous North American opening record. At the same time, crypto watchers highlighted signs of renewed Dogecoin activity: Dogegod said whales bought another 200 million DOGE on Robinhood Markets, worth about $14 million, while Ali Martinez said weekly active addresses rose 16% to 44,000 from 38,000. Even with that pickup in on-chain engagement, DOGE briefly fell to $0.0697, slipping below the $0.07 level that had acted as support for weeks. Technical indicators cited in the report showed the descending channel that has been in place since June still pointing lower, with the channel midline implying a possible move toward $0.055 by September, while the Parabolic SAR and overhead EMAs continued to signal resistance.
