The affected markets were already in limit-only mode, and the temporary halt across Coinbase's trading venues comes as prediction markets show lower implied odds of Ethereum reaching $10,000 by end-2026.
Coinbase has temporarily suspended six non-USD spot pairs across Coinbase Exchange, Advanced Trade and Coinbase Prime: LSETH-ETH, MINA-EUR, GRT-GBP, MASK-GBP, CHZ-USDT and CRO-USDT. The affected markets had already been placed in limit-only mode, and Coinbase has said such reviews are meant to improve market health, consolidate liquidity and deepen order books while leaving the underlying tokens available elsewhere on the platform. Eligible Advanced Trade users in supported regions can still access affected assets through U.S. dollar order books, while CHZ and CRO remain tradable against other assets including BTC and USD. The latest market reaction has focused on liquidity and price-stability concerns, with prediction-market pricing for Ethereum reaching $10,000 by the end of 2026 slipping to 1.7% YES from 2% a day earlier amid broader debate over exchange conditions and regulation.
