The quantum computing company beat estimates on revenue and adjusted loss, said sales surged 287%, and said cash later decreased to $2 billion after the SkyWater acquisition.
IonQ shares moved higher after the bell after the quantum computing company reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $80.05 million, above the $49.74 million analyst estimate, and an adjusted loss per share of 33 cents versus expectations for a 35-cent loss. Revenue rose 287% from a year earlier, which IonQ said was driven by global deployments of IonQ Tempo quantum computers, strong cloud utilization, and broad-based commercial momentum across its quantum platform. The company ended the quarter with approximately $3 billion in cash, cash equivalents and investments, though it said that figure later decreased to $2 billion after completing the SkyWater acquisition last month. IonQ also raised its full-year 2026 revenue outlook to $280 million to $290 million from $260 million to $270 million, above estimates of $235.71 million. Shares were up 0.93% in after-hours trading at $40.30 at the time of publication, and management is scheduled to discuss the results on a 4:30 p.m. ET earnings call.
