
Sun Life kept its quarterly common dividend unchanged, set a Sept. 29 payment date and Aug. 26 record date, declared payouts on several non-cumulative preferred share series, and outlined open-market reinvestment plan purchases.
Sun Life Financial Inc. said its Board of Directors declared a C$0.96 per-share dividend on the company's common shares, payable on Sept. 29, 2026 to shareholders of record at the close of business on Aug. 26, 2026, unchanged from the previous quarter. The Board also declared dividends on Class A Non-Cumulative Preferred Shares, with stated payouts of C$0.278125 for Series 3, C$0.281250 for Series 5, C$0.264375 for Series 8R, C$0.235230 for Series 9QR, C$0.185438 for Series 10R and C$0.283121 for Series 11QR, while also listing Series 4 among the declared series. Sun Life said common shares acquired under its Canadian Dividend Reinvestment and Share Purchase Plan will be bought by the plan agent in the open market through the Toronto Stock Exchange, other Canadian stock exchanges and alternative Canadian trading platforms. The company designated the dividends as eligible dividends for the purposes of the Income Tax Act (Canada). As of June 30, 2026, Sun Life reported total assets under management of C$1.70 trillion and said it operates across markets including Canada, the U.S., the United Kingdom, Ireland, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, India, China, Australia, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia and Bermuda.
