The defense manufacturing startup's latest raise brings total funding to about $2 billion and adds JPMorgan's Strategic Investment Group as an anchor co-lead investor.
Hadrian said it has raised $1.37 billion in fresh financing at a $7.87 billion valuation, underscoring strong investor demand for U.S. defense manufacturing capacity. Lead investors included WCM Investment Management, Washington Harbour Partners, Valor Equity Partners, 137 Ventures and Baillie Gifford, with JPMorgan's Strategic Investment Group participating as an anchor co-lead investor. Other participants included 1789 Capital, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, Apollo funds, T. Rowe Price, CapitalG, Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, Lux Capital and Altimeter. The company, which builds automated manufacturing facilities rather than developing new AI-powered weapons, has now raised about $2 billion in total, according to PitchBook estimates. Founders Fund and Lux led Hadrian's $260 million Series C round about a year ago. In March, Hadrian opened an Alabama facility to mass produce parts for submarines, its fourth site, in a public-private partnership the company said was valued at $2.4 billion.
