The shareholder letter says the East Greenland project is still advancing through permitting and logistics, with 80 Mile Plc leading regulatory engagement and Greenland Energy supporting operational readiness.
Greenland Energy Company said it and joint venture partner 80 Mile Plc have agreed to focus the Jameson Land Basin winter 2026-2027 exploration program on a single exploration well instead of two, framing the move as a safety, environmental and execution decision rather than a funding-driven cutback. The company said 80 Mile, as licensee of the Jameson Land joint venture, continues to lead permitting and stakeholder engagement, while Greenland Energy is supporting engineering, logistics, procurement, contractor coordination and drilling preparation. Management said recent meetings with Greenlandic regulators and oversight authorities had been constructive and that work is continuing so drilling can begin once approvals are secured. Greenland Energy described Jameson Land as an approximately 2-million-acre onshore licensed area in East Greenland and said it is preparing what it called the first modern onshore drilling campaign in the region, currently planned for 2026. The company added that the second well would come after analysis of the first well's results and said shareholders should expect updates on regulatory progress, mobilization, equipment movement and final drilling preparations.
