The real-world asset network joins Charles Schwab, Nasdaq and Alpaca in DTCC's standards group as the market utility targets limited 2026 tokenized securities trades before a broader October launch.
Plume said on Aug. 6 it had joined DTCC's Digital Assets Solutions Industry Working Group, adding the real-world asset network to a standards forum that includes Charles Schwab, Nasdaq and Alpaca as DTCC prepares limited tokenized securities trades in 2026 and a broader launch in October 2026. The forum, which had grown from more than 50 firms in May to over 100 members and partners by mid-July, is reviewing the operating standards, technical workflows and interoperability needed to move traditional securities into tokenized form while preserving the legal structure of conventional securities. Plume said every transaction on its network is checked by security partners before it is finalized on-chain, and said Kimber Transfer Agency, an SEC-registered transfer agent affiliated with Plume, maintains the official ownership records for tokenized securities. DTCC is responsible for custody and asset servicing covering more than $114 trillion in assets, but Plume's membership in the working group does not by itself signal a commercial integration or that DTCC has selected Plume as a supported blockchain.
