The exchange's Spot Grid and Martingale DCA bots automate range trading and buy-the-dip strategies for UK retail users, who still face an FCA ban on crypto derivatives.
WhiteBIT has made its Spot Grid Bot and Martingale DCA Bot available to UK users, expanding automation in a market where retail traders remain barred from buying crypto futures, options and contracts for difference under the Financial Conduct Authority's January 2021 ban. The grid bot places buy and sell orders across a chosen price range for sideways markets, while the Martingale DCA bot adds to a position during declines and aims to exit when price rebounds to a preset profit level. Both tools run in spot markets without leverage, which avoids futures liquidations but still leaves traders exposed to losses if prices break out of range or keep falling, and WhiteBIT said some settings can be adjusted while a strategy is active. The rollout also comes as Coinbase and Robinhood push broader AI-driven trading systems in the United States, highlighting WhiteBIT's narrower focus on predefined strategies rather than open-ended agentic trading.
