The August 6 issuance, confirmed on ledger 106,109,031 by XRPScan, follows RLUSD taking more than 50% of XRP Ledger stablecoin supply in July and surpassing $2.5 billion in cumulative trading volume since launch.
Ripple minted 811,026 RLUSD on the XRP Ledger (blockchain network tied to XRP) on August 6, 2026, increasing the circulating supply of its dollar-backed stablecoin (token pegged to a fiat currency). XRPScan data shows the transaction was recorded by the RLUSD issuer account and confirmed on ledger 106,109,031. The mint used a multi-signature setup (multiple approvals for one transaction) with three signers and carried a network fee of 0.000405 XRP. The newly created tokens were not tied to a specific stated use, though issuances are commonly associated with liquidity, trading, payments, or other blockchain-based applications. The move extends RLUSD’s recent growth on XRPL after it surpassed 50% of the network’s total stablecoin supply in July to become the largest stablecoin there by supply. Previous reports also showed RLUSD had logged more than $2.5 billion in cumulative trading volume since launch. The expansion comes as competition among dollar-backed tokens intensifies, with long-term adoption typically shaped by liquidity, exchange availability, regulatory status, and real-world usage rather than supply growth alone.
