The insurer's specialty risk division said the deal would fold the corporate intelligence and cyber security consultancy into AXA XL Risk Advisory, its newly created prevention-focused unit.
AXA XL said it has agreed to buy the remaining shares of S-RM, a specialist corporate intelligence and cyber security consultancy, after already holding about 49% of the company. The transaction is intended to advance AXA XL's strategy of expanding prevention services beyond traditional insurance coverage, with S-RM expected to continue serving its global client base as part of AXA XL Risk Advisory, the group's newly created business unit focused on prevention. Founded in 2005, S-RM supports clients in more than 140 countries and provides services including cyber risk assessment, managed detection and incident response, specialist investigations, geopolitical intelligence, and integrity and reputational due diligence. AXA XL said the deal is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to complete by the end of September 2026.
