The payout is unchanged from the previous quarter. The board also declared dividends on the company's Class A Non-Cumulative Preferred Shares, with payments due on the same date to shareholders on record by Aug. 26, 2026. The declared rates were C$0.278125 for Series 3, C$0.281250 for Series 5, C$0.264375 for Series 8R, C$0.235230 for Series 9QR, C$0.185438 for Series 10R and C$0.283121 for Series 11QR. Shares acquired under Sun Life's Canadian Dividend Reinvestment and Share Purchase Plan will be bought by the plan agent in the open market through the Toronto Stock Exchange and other Canadian stock exchanges and alternative Canadian trading platforms. The company said the dividends are designated as eligible dividends under the Income Tax Act (Canada). Sun Life, an international financial services group spanning asset management, wealth, insurance and health solutions, reported C$1.70 trillion in assets under management as of June 30, 2026.
