MP Materials reported mixed second-quarter results, with revenue rising 89% year over year to $108.49 million, above the $99.18 million analyst consensus, while adjusted earnings missed expectations. The company posted an adjusted loss of $0.01 per share versus expectations for breakeven, though that improved from a loss of $0.13 per share a year earlier. Combined revenue and PPA Income totaled $126.1 million, while the company ended the quarter with $1.45 billion in cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments. NdPr oxide production rose 41% to 840 metric tons, NdPr sales volumes climbed 127% to 1,006 metric tons, and rare earth concentrate production fell 16% to 11,072 metric tons. MP Materials also said it signed a long-term offtake agreement for separated gadolinium with a previously unannounced American aerospace and defense customer and launched Project Swarm for the drone industry. Shares were down 0.19% in after-hours trading Thursday after the release, then up 3.71% at $49.25 on Friday at the time of publication.
