Kraken has expanded access to U.S. stock trading for eligible customers across the European Economic Area after first rolling out the service in Germany, the Netherlands and France. The exchange said investors can trade more than 7,000 U.S.-listed stocks, over 700 tokenized equities known as xStocks and 600 crypto assets through the Kraken Pro desktop and mobile platforms as well as the main Kraken mobile app in one regulated account. Kraken said the setup lets customers choose between traditional shares and tokenized exposure to the same underlying asset without moving capital or changing platforms. The stock service is being provided by Payward Europe Digital Solutions (CY) Limited, a Cyprus investment firm authorized under MiFID II, and Kraken said U.S. stock trades will carry no trading commission, subject to applicable terms. Users must accept additional terms and conditions before the feature becomes available. Kraken said xStocks have processed more than $38 billion in total transaction volume since launching in June 2025 and, with a market capitalization of about $609 million as of Monday, rank as the second-largest tokenized stock issuer behind Ondo Finance, according to Token Terminal data.
