Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor renewed his case for Bitcoin on Aug. 23, describing it as a mechanism for converting economic value into digital form that individuals, companies and governments can control. Strategy holds 840,447 Bitcoin acquired for $63.36 billion, or an average of $75,385 per coin. At $77,175 per Bitcoin, the holdings were worth approximately $64.86 billion, representing an unrealized gain of $1.5 billion. The company has raised $333.7 million through share sales, maintains a $4.80 billion cash reserve and issues conventional preferred securities through its Digital Credit platform. The newer record identifies Saylor as CEO, while the older record identifies him as executive chairman.
