Ripple aims to enhance its operations in the European market by applying for a MiCA license, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Ripple has confirmed its plan to apply for a Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) license, aiming to expand its operations into the European Union. This move follows the registration of Ripple Payments Europe S.A. in Luxembourg, a growing hub for crypto firms. While the company did not confirm reports of applying for an electronic money institution license in Luxembourg, it remains committed to complying with MiCA regulations, recognizing significant market opportunities. Other companies, including Coinbase and Bitstamp, have also secured licenses in the region, contributing to Luxembourg's reputation as a crypto-friendly jurisdiction.
