George R. Botic, who has served on the PCAOB board since 2023, will assume the acting chair position following the resignation of Erica Y. Williams.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has appointed George R. Botic as the acting chairman of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, effective July 23, 2025, after Erica Y. Williams' resignation. Botic has been a PCAOB board member since October 2023 and previously directed the Registration and Inspection Division.
