Authorities in Hunan have disrupted a scam targeting foreign men, seizing equipment and uncovering extensive social media fraud tactics.
On July 24, police in Youxian County arrested three suspects involved in a USDT scam operation, seizing over 30 mobile phones and 10 computers. The suspects, operating since April 2025, targeted foreign men by creating fake identities on social media, convincing them to buy USDT and click on malicious links to steal their cryptocurrency. Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to uncover the full extent of the operation.
