Check Point has disclosed that the JSCEAL malware campaign has potentially reached over 10 million users via fake advertisements for popular cryptocurrency applications since March 2024. The malware, which employs advanced JavaScript techniques, is capable of stealing sensitive information such as passwords and Bitcoin wallet data. Approximately 3.5 million users in the EU have been exposed to these malicious ads, with Asia also being a notable area of concern. Users are advised to only download applications from official channels to enhance their security.
