Publicly traded companies have added $47.3 billion in Bitcoin this year, surpassing the $31.7 billion in net inflows recorded by US spot Bitcoin ETFs, according to CEX.IO data.
Publicly traded companies have significantly increased their Bitcoin holdings in 2025, adding $47.3 billion worth of BTC, outpacing US spot Bitcoin ETFs, which recorded $31.7 billion in inflows. Corporate BTC holdings rose by 96% this year, with Strategy leading the way by increasing its exposure by over $12 billion. Metaplanet also expanded its stash nearly sixfold, reflecting a growing institutional interest in direct BTC ownership.
