Union Jack Oil announced on August 7 a preliminary, non-binding agreement with Rathlin Energy and Texas-based 360 Energy to deploy modular data centers at its West Newton field, converting stranded gas into electricity for Bitcoin mining. The pilot aims to monetize an estimated 200 billion cubic feet of gas trapped by bureaucratic delays while serving as a bridge to traditional gas development.
