PANews reported on August 8th that, according to The Miner Mag, CBP accused CleanSpark of importing Bitmain Antminer mining machines from April to June 2024 as being made in China, potentially incurring up to $185 million in punitive tariffs. CleanSpark denies the allegations based on import documents and supplier statements, while IREN is also entangled in a $100 million tariff dispute as U.S. regulators intensify scrutiny of crypto mining equipment origins.
