Following a brief detention in Turkey over allegations of aiding Ethereum misuse and Tornado Cash de-anonymization research, the Argentine developer has been released and returned to Europe after pursuing a DeFi project and wine export cooperation.
On August 12 reports emerged that the Argentine blockchain developer known as 'Fede's Intern' was briefly detained in Turkey following allegations by the Interior Minister of aiding in Ethereum misuse linked to a privacy protocol. The developer clarified that his visit aimed to advance a DeFi project and wine export cooperation, and that his team's Tornado Cash research was limited to de-anonymization analysis. He has since been released and returned to Europe, and announced a $500K donation to support the legal defense of Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm.
