PANews reported on August 14 that, according to China Newsweek, a staff member from the Publicity Department of the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision stated that claims of Jing Yaping mining 327 Bitcoin (allegedly worth 150 million yuan) were a rumor. The report, which emerged from online videos and a southwestern media outlet, was later confirmed to have been deleted.
