In an official announcement, Metaplanet said it purchased 775 BTC for $93 million (¥13.733 billion) at an average price of $120,000 (¥17,720,023) per coin, increasing its holdings to 18,888 BTC. The company reported an aggregate cost basis of $1.94 billion (¥284.097 billion) and an overall average purchase price of $102,000 (¥15,041,118) per BTC. President Simon Gerovich highlighted the milestone with “18,888 BTC. Onward and upward,” while acknowledging recent market pullbacks. Separately, Metaplanet filed a shelf registration to raise up to $3.7 billion (¥555 billion) via a stock offering effective Aug. 9, 2025, through Aug. 8, 2027.
