Ethereum’s staking exit queue hit a record 2.6 million ETH, valued at $12 billion, with validators now facing a 44-day wait for withdrawals. This marks the largest validator exodus in Ethereum’s history. Despite concerns of potential sell-offs, institutional reserves and ETH ETFs have absorbed pressure, with holdings rising 116% since July 1 to over 11.7 million ETH. Currently, 29.4% of the total supply, around 35.6 million ETH, is staked, supported by over 1.05 million validators. Meanwhile, staking entry demand has slowed, with 512,755 ETH queued, down from 959,717 earlier this month. Analysts highlight potential future demand from ETH staking ETFs, pending SEC approval as early as October 2025.
