Bitplanet expands its ambitions to be a top 10 global Bitcoin holder, with investment support from major crypto and venture capital firms.
Bitplanet, South Korea's first institutional Bitcoin custodian, has completed a $50 million acquisition for a 62% stake in SGA Co., Ltd. The deal was funded by Sora Ventures, Parafi Capital, and KCGI, with additional support from UTXO Management and Kingsway Capital. Bitplanet seeks to become one of the world's top ten corporate Bitcoin holders and elevate Korea's role in the global Bitcoin ecosystem.
