A series of notable fundraising events in the blockchain sector, including Kredete’s $22 million Series A, signals continued interest despite a challenging funding environment for crypto-native projects.
From September 15 to 21, the global blockchain sector raised a total of $81.1 million across 9 fundraising events, a slight increase from the previous week's $54.6 million. The largest raise was a $22 million Series A by Kredete, an African stablecoin payment firm, followed by $19 million by hybrid DEX GRVT. Other significant raises included Mavryk Network’s $10 million and Bitlight Labs' $9.6 million. Despite the steady deal volume, the data indicates challenges for crypto-native projects in securing funding.
