The multi-agency raid in Pyote detained over a dozen workers at an ADW Tech-run ASIC repair center, amid ongoing scrutiny of imported mining equipment by US regulators.
On September 30, 2025, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and Customs and Border Protection raided the Lonestar Dream bitcoin mining facility in Pyote, Texas. The action targeted an ASIC repair center operated by ADW Tech, a Bitmain-affiliated company. Authorities detained 12 to 13 workers after they failed to present valid documentation, including expired visas held by foreign nationals. The raid followed a pattern of CBP seizures of imported ASIC miners since late 2024, which often involved lengthy holds and storage fees. These enforcement actions began to ease in early 2025.
