According to BOB’s official announcement, the gateway integrates BitGo’s wBTC.OFT with LayerZero, enabling seamless BTC access for over 15,000 Dapps and boosting cross-chain DeFi liquidity.
BOB officially announced the launch of its trustless one-click native Bitcoin cross-chain gateway, connecting BTC with 11 LayerZero-supported blockchains through BitGo-issued wBTC.OFT. The integration provides access to more than 15,000 decentralized applications across networks such as Ethereum, Avalanche, Base, and BNB. Designed to simplify BTC-to-wBTC conversions, the BOB Gateway enhances DeFi usability and positions BOB as a Bitcoin DeFi portal. According to the announcement, over $2.3 billion worth of wBTC.OFT has already been transferred across chains using LayerZero.
