TransCrypts has officially announced a $15 million seed round led by Pantera Capital, with participants including Lightspeed Faction and Mark Cuban. The funds will expand its 'self-sovereign identity' platform, which serves 4 million users, into healthcare and education following its recent HIPAA certification. The company, which recently won CoinDesk’s Pitchfest, aims to combat rising identity fraud and deepfake scams by allowing users to own and share verified credentials securely.
