Galaxy Research reports that the US Department of Justice’s recent seizure of 127,271 BTC, valued at nearly $15 billion, increased the US government’s Bitcoin holdings by 64%. The US now holds approximately 325,447 BTC, worth $34.78 billion, or about 3.5% of its gold reserves. This positions the US as the second-largest Bitcoin holder in the world after Strategy. The event highlights Bitcoin’s growing role in institutional asset management.
