Following a governance vote, Sky Protocol will reward stakers in SKY tokens instead of USDS, increase buybacks, and allocate 500M SKY to its treasury for rewards.
On November 3, Sky Protocol governance approved a major change to its reward structure, shifting staking payouts from USDS to SKY tokens. The daily SKY buyback quota will be raised to 300,000 USDS, and 500 million SKY tokens will be transferred to the protocol treasury to fund future staking rewards.
