ADP’s four-week average through October 25, 2025 revealed private employers cut roughly 11,250 jobs weekly, indicating weak job creation late in the month. Despite this trend, October saw a net gain of 42,000 positions, largely driven by education, healthcare, and utilities sectors, while other industries continued to experience layoffs.
