GoPlus Security reported that losses in the Web3 ecosystem during October surpassed $45.84 million, caused by smart contract exploits, phishing attacks, Ponzi schemes, and rugpulls. The report highlighted specific cases, including GMGN users losing over $700,000 to phishing and a fake @OracleBNB project conducting a rugpull involving 34 BNB. These incidents demonstrate ongoing operational and social engineering vulnerabilities threatening decentralized platforms.
