According to the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong’s official announcement, CEO Leung Fung Yee has been reappointed for a two-year term starting January 1, 2026. Since becoming CEO in January 2023, she has initiated major regulatory reforms, including a virtual asset platform licensing regime and a roadmap expanding oversight to over-the-counter cryptocurrency trading and custody services. Her next term will continue focusing on regulatory reform, market development, and leadership transition.
