Kraken’s European unit PESL has received approval from the Central Bank of Ireland to operate as a regulated digital asset custody provider under the EU MiCA framework, catering to institutional clients in the European Economic Area.
Kraken’s institutional custody division, Kraken Custody, will operate in Europe through its subsidiary, Payward Europe Solutions Limited (PESL), which has been authorized by the Central Bank of Ireland. The service will comply with the EU’s MiCA regulation and serve institutional clients in the European Economic Area.
