Hill's sentence was reduced due to mitigating factors such as his autism diagnosis and age. His co-founder, Keonne Rodriguez, had previously received a five-year sentence for the same charges. Hill was also fined $250,000 and will serve three years of supervised release from Portugal, highlighting growing regulatory pressure on privacy-enhancing crypto tools.
