WLFI disclosed that prior to its launch, certain wallets were compromised due to phishing attacks or mnemonic leaks linked to third-party security failures. In response, the team burned 166.67 million WLFI tokens valued at approximately $22.14 million from a breached wallet and reallocated them to secure addresses. The company stated that these assets can be recovered following KYC verification, emphasizing that its smart contracts remained unaffected.
