In an official statement, Amazon Web Services confirmed a $50 billion investment to develop specialized AI and high-performance computing infrastructure for the U.S. government. The project will expand approximately 1.3 gigawatts of computing capacity across AWS Top Secret, AWS Secret, and AWS GovCloud regions, accommodating workloads of varying confidentiality. AWS stated that this initiative will help improve governmental efficiency and innovation while reinforcing the nation's leadership in advanced computing technologies.
