Binance plans to roll out full UTF-8 support for spot trading over two weeks, following recent testnet updates and a notable rally in Chinese meme tokens on BSC.
Binance has announced plans to gradually enable UTF-8 encoding for spot trading over the next two weeks, according to logs dated Dec. 3. This follows a Nov. 29 testnet update introducing UTF-8 support. The change will broaden the range of characters supported in its trading API. Meanwhile, several Chinese meme tokens on Binance Smart Chain saw significant gains, with ‘币安人生’ rising 15% and ‘恶俗企鹅’ jumping 60% within 24 hours, amid a market recovery.
