Jiayu County police in Hubei seized a virtual currency wallet holding about 1.9 million USDT during investigations into an extortion and personal information violation case. The wallet’s ownership remains unidentified, and authorities have given potential claimants a six-month window from December 3 to provide legal proof of ownership. If unclaimed by the deadline, the assets will be transferred to China’s national treasury.
