The sovereign-supported TER token, issued via Gelephu Mindfulness City and custodied by DK Bank, offers international investors a transparent, portable digital representation of physical gold.
Bhutan has introduced TER, a gold-backed digital token supported by the Kingdom’s sovereign framework, issued through Gelephu Mindfulness City and custodied by DK Bank. Running on the Solana blockchain, TER provides a tokenized version of physical gold with on-chain transparency and global portability, aimed at bridging traditional asset ownership with blockchain finance. This initiative forms part of Bhutan’s national blockchain strategy and follows Kyrgyzstan’s launch of USDKG, reflecting a growing trend among smaller nations to create asset-backed digital currencies tied to audited reserves.
